  1. On her home page, Wendy McElroy says "At first, I assumed that my unswerving defense of 'Second Amendment rights' would automatically endear me to all other pro-gun advocates....
  2. In an interview, in response to a question about mainstream politics, she talked about Republicans and Democrats...
  3. Canadians, and people writing about Canadians on wikipedia, always give the nationality, for obvious reasons.

Two minor unrelated points: please can you add items to the bottom of talk pages, rather than the top. An easy way to sign is to type three tildes, ~~~, which the software will convert. A fourth tilde adds the date and time. Jim

Unverified images

[edit]

Hi! Thanks for uploading Image:Africa w seychelles.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GNU Free Documentation License, {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much. --Ricky81682 (talk) 00:49, Dec 20, 2004 (UTC)

Another taggless image: Image:Riemann.gif. I've tagged it as {{unverified}} for now. Same rules as above apply. If you want me to tag it leave me a message on my user page! Thanks --MaxPower 15:07, 2005 Jan 11 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello BillBell! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 2 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Anne Dudley - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Open system (systems theory) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Nonsense WP:SYNTH essay, appears to be a mishmash of concepts all thrown together from different fields with no secondary sources relating them, amateurish misunderstandings of thermodynamics

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. - car chasm (talk) 00:46, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
