My pet peeve is about contributors who have clearly never seen, let alone read, any encylopaedia. As a punishment I would like a real encyclopaedia to be dropped on them.

Thi's user know's that not every word that end's with s need's an apostrophe and will remove misused apostrophe's from Wikipedia with extreme prejudice.

The information in question should be added to any relevant articles as well. However, Wikipedia does not offer first-hand news reports on breaking stories (use Wikinews for that).
